Learning Over Lunch

Innovating with passion doesn’t just happen with our coffee and brewers but also in the way we engage our employees with learning. Our Learning & Development team developed a program that has ignited our employee base with new ways to learn and keep connected with the business in real time, as it evolves. Our Lunch & Learn series has taken off in the past year, allowing employees from all across the business to gain knowledge and understanding about different departments, our most recent business project, and even ways to stay on top of your health and well-being.

To encourage employees from multiple locations to build connections with one another, we know our Lunch & Learns needed to be available to all employees so they can participate from anywhere. Whether someone joins the live presenter in a conference room, calls into the meeting with teammates from a collaboration space, or connects virtually through video conference, Lunch & Learns have proven to create a low-risk, friendly setting for getting to know co-workers while learning something new about the business. This series has even become popular with our summer interns! We use the Lunch & Learns to connect all of our interns from all sites across the country to learn on a high level about our business to gain business acumen. Our CEO, Bob Gamgort, hosted a Lunch & Learn with our interns to share things he has learned about career growth and leadership.
