More About the Keurig 2.0 Brewer
March 7, 2014Fans and followers,
We are beyond excited to introduce our new Keurig® 2.0 system to you this fall. It’s truly the best hot beverage system we’ve ever built, and we know you’ll be astounded with all of its features, including the ability to brew both a single cup and a carafe of coffee.
We’ve seen recent comments and questions about our Keurig 2.0 system. While we’re not quite ready to reveal all the details at this time, we’d like to share the following:
Brand Variety and Choice
All of our approximately 50 owned, licensed, partner and private label brands that exist today in our Keurig® system – more than 290 different beverages in total – will be offered in our Keurig 2.0 system. This includes, among many others:
Green Mountain Coffee®
Van Houtte® Starbucks® Newman’s Own® Organics Tazo® Timothy’s® Folgers Gourmet Selections® Tully’s® Millstone® Swiss Miss® Dunkin’ Donuts® Barista Prima® Caribou Coffee® Emeril’s Gourmet Coffee®
Snapple® Coffee People® Lipton® Gloria Jean’s® Celestial Seasonings®
Twinings® Bigelow® Wolfgang Puck®
Kahlua® Eight O’Clock® The Original Donut Shop® Kirkland Signature™
As if that weren’t enough, we also are actively engaged in discussions with even more brands to welcome them into the Keurig® system so they and their customers can benefit from our innovation pipeline. We are confident that our ever-expanding portfolio of brand and beverage options will continue to delight all consumers – across a wide range of taste profiles and prices.
Even More Choice!
Keurig 2.0 will be the first Keurig® brewing system to offer the ability to brew both one cup using a Keurig® K-Cup® pack and a carafe of coffee using a new Keurig® K-Carafe™ pack. For more details on this new feature, check out our recent press release and video.
To make brewing a carafe possible, and to continue to deliver everything Keurig lovers already enjoy – high-quality beverages, simplicity, and variety – our new Keurig 2.0 system will feature specially designed interactive technology allowing the brewer to read information about the inserted Keurig® pack. With this interactive capability, Keurig 2.0 brewers will “know” the optimal settings for the inserted Keurig pack, for a perfect beverage every time, whether a single cup or a carafe. It’s critical for performance and safety reasons that our new system includes this technology.
For those of you who currently own our K-Cup® or Vue® systems today, we are so happy to have you as part of our family. Rest assured that your brewers will still function as they always have and that your favorite beverages will still be available.
We’re looking forward to sharing more as we get closer to launching our exciting new Keurig 2.0 system this fall.
